Thank You to Our Donors
Giving opportunities are available for donors who wish to contribute.
James R. Meehl
In honor of his father, James R. Meehl, David Meehl is the principle donor supporting our endowment which enables Meehl Innovation Commons to operate for years to come. We are profoundly thankful for the impacts that this funding makes available for our students and for entrepreneurs in the Erie region.
Zurn Elkay Water Solutions
Zurn Elkay’s continual support of both the Meehl Innovation Commons endowment and direct funding for student wages plays an essential role in advancing our services and increasing our capacity, enabling us to assist more clients.
Thank You to Our Grant Funders
Erie County Gaming Revenue Authority
The Erie County Gaming Revenue Authority enabled the foundation of the Meehl Innovation Commons as well as the NWPA Innovation Beehive Network in 2015. ECGRA has continued to be a pivotal partner, supporting operations as the program grows, funding the development of new services, and increasing capacity so we can serve more Erie County entrepreneurs and businesses. Their partnership with all members of the NWPA Innovation Beehive Network has and continues to be essential to our success.
Appalachian Regional Commission
Support from the Appalachian Regional Commission through the POWER program provided funding to add new services as well as profoundly increase the service footprint of the NWPA Beehive Network. Their funding of $1.7 million added new members to the Network while also helping us reach 15 new Counties in Pennsylvania.
United States Economic Development Administration
The United States Economic Development Administration provided funding the Beehive Network while it was in its early growth phase, helping us to further define and refine our services.
Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development
The Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development provides yearly funding support to Meehl Innovation Commons as a part of the Invent Penn State Launchbox network. These consistent funds enable the program to serve more clients and employ more students. This generous support has aided thousands of Pennsylvanians in their entrepreneurial journeys.
A special thank you to the Schlaudecker Family, the Rose Estate, Amcor, and First Energy Corporation for your generous donations. Your contributions have helped create opportunities for our students and entrepreneurs in northwest Pennsylvania.
